At Teach and Play ABA, we believe that high-quality applied behavioral therapy should be easy to access. We also understand that it should work for both clients and their families, which is why we offer a variety of programs to suit the unique needs of everyone we serve. Our experienced staff can provide caring, compassionate, non-restrictive ABA therapy to children as young as 18 months in the Bloomington, Indiana, area. By offering specialized applied behavioral therapy programs that include social skills training, verbal communication training, exposure therapy, and parent training, we are able to tailor our services to deliver results that you can see for yourself.
Whether you turn to us for clinic-based ABA therapy, parent training, or our alternative education program, you can rest assured that your family will work with you to come up with the best plan for your family’s needs. By prioritizing independent skills, family engagement, leisure skills, and creative outlets, our therapy services promote positive behavioral changes in a way that feels natural and enjoyable. We take a play-based, comprehensive approach that uses singing, art, pretend play, and interactive games to teach communication and independent skills in a way that fosters a love of learning.
Teach and Play ABA prioritizes increasing language and independent skills to replace challenging behaviors and increase adaptive behaviors. We use natural environment training, modeling, video modeling, and repetitive practice to increase our skills.
Teach and Play ABA utilizes a variety of assessments to identify your child’s social skill strengths, social motivations and preferred activities and topics. Our clinicians utilize a variety of play-based activities such as sensory games, motor activities, singing, music, activity exploration, simple and complex imaginary play and turn-taking games to increase skills.
Teach and Play ABA’s mission is to increase a child’s skills so that he or she can transition to a school setting without behavior support. For our in-clinic program (children under 8), clinicians utilize a variety of assessments to create plans that will target meeting the Indiana Department of Education’s suggested kindergarten readiness skills and behaviors.
Our facility uses play and the natural environment to increase these behaviors and to increase his or her motivation to engage in learning new behaviors in order to receive praise and positive feedback. Our clinicians prioritize using pairing strategies, structured games (such as follow the leader), and your child’s preferred activities to increase skills.
