Our experienced staff can provide caring, compassionate, non-restrictive ABA therapy to children as young as 18 months old and up to the age of 8 years old. For life skills, we treat ages 8 to 20 years old. We service clients in the Indianapolis and Bloomington, IN, and throughout Greater Indianapolis. Common behavior needs for our clients include increasing assignment completion, following instructions, teaching coping skills, and improving language and social skills. Our play-based approach uses singing, art, pretend play, and interactive games to teach communication and friendship and foster a love of learning in children under the age of 8. We prioritize independent skills, family engagement, leisure skills, and creative outlets for every individual we treat.

Our Mission

Teach and Play ABA is dedicated to providing individualized treatment to children with autism in a manner that will promote their ability to gain skills in their natural environment. Naturalistic teaching is prioritized to increase language and communication skills, independent living skills, waiting and tolerance, play skills, and friendship. Our play-based approach targets increasing language, sharing, tolerating no, coping skills, and other important behaviors that will promote school-readiness skills to help our clients transition to the school setting.

Our Staff

Hi. My name is Sara. I have been a board-certified behavior analyst since 2017, although I have been practicing ABA professionally since 2014. My passion for ABA comes from my personal experience as a parent of an individual with autism. When my son was diagnosed, ABA was not covered by insurance, and I was not able to send him to an ABA facility–partially because there weren’t anywhere we lived. Years later, when I first started working at an ABA clinic, I was stunned to see so many individual cubicles and workstations for such young children. As a parent, I have struggled with the clinic setting and have felt frustrated at the process and lack of support that parents receive during ABA therapy. I started Teach and Play ABA to give clients and families a clinic that utilizes natural environment training in a pre-school setting to help my clients learn new behaviors and social skills and to prepare them to transition to a classroom setting. I utilize play, social reinforcement, pairing, and visual supports to increase adaptive behaviors, coping skills, and body regulation. As a parent, I strive to create a professional environment that is effective and one I would want to send my own child to.
